About Us
Well, the "US" and the "WE" referred to through out this web site is me: Glenn Norman and my 19 year old grandson, Alex Jenkins (already a rabid hot rodder). But, there is also a lot of other "WE's" behind the scenes that support me in this endeavor. But first a little background. I am retired (or, at least I am suppose to be) from the automotive/truck repair business since 1999.
I started out in 1961 with GM and did very well. I have always felt that GM was and is a truely "Great American" company, and I still do. In 1977 I decided to go out on my own, so I started my own automotive repair business in Dallas, Texas, which eventually grew to three shops, including a Body Shop, in 1982, owned and run by my uncle, H. D. Nevil. Together we grew our business to 3 auto repair shops and the one body shop. In 1999 my uncle died and I decided that was a good time to retire and sell the business. In 2000, I bought my first Class 'A' RV. WOW, what an eye-opening ($$$$) experience ($$$$) that was! It was a Safari TREK, built on a Workhorse (GM) medium duty "Bread Truck" chassis with a gasoline 454 cu. in. big block. I found out very quickly how blessed I was to have life long friends and business associates at the Dallas/Ft.Worth AC Delco master distributer and, of course, the Ft.Worth GM Regional Parts Distribution Center. Those folks are the REAL "US", "WE", and "ME" behind this endeavor! OEM-Engineering was "Officially" kicked-off at the January 2008 Quartzsite RV Show.
